A project carried out in parallel with HAMACHO HOTEL in the block next door, WAVES is a shared vertical living community in a tower. Residents here have the privilege of using the common kitchen/lounge at the top two floors, enjoying a spectacular view of the City while developing valuable network with fellow residents. An attempt was made in this project to create a compact tower prototype for an increasingly popular living option for young professionals in Tokyo.
近隣のHAMACHO HOTELと並行して計画されたシェアハウスプロジェクトである。ホテルと共に、浜町エリアの魅力向上に寄与し、活動的な若いビジネスパーソンが移り住みたくなる機能的なプランとソーシャルな機会を創出する共用部を作り込んだ。最上階２層を共用キッチン、ラウンジに充てて誰もが都市の眺望を楽しめるようにすると共に、住人同士の偶発的で自然なネットワーキングの場としている。近年人気が高まる「シェアコミュニティー」をコンパクトなタワーとして実現し、新たな都心居住の形を提案している。
