As part of the French Embassy redevelopment, the site of this luxury condominium was leased to a team of private developers for a fixed term to finance the construction of the new Embassy. The site, where the formal embassy stood embraces the rich forest within the Embassy compound allowing dwellers to enjoy a dense and lush greenery rarely obtained in the middle of Tokyo. The arc-shaped plan is derived directly from the site geometry while upper floors set back and create a terraced roof line. At the ground level, the lobby area is designed as a boutique art gallery with a quiet garden facing the woods, providing a tranquil outdoor space for exclusive use of the residents.
